We consider missional communities to be a family of disciples sent on mission by God as disciples who make disciples. Our groups are more than a weekly event, but a time to grow and cultivate relationship with God and others; the primary vehicle for discipleship.
Missional Communities are strategically planted throughout McAllen and its surrounding cities in an effort to engage our city and community. Whether meeting at a home, local coffee shop, or college campus, we desire to see every aspect of our cities blessed by God’s people.
And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts…” (Acts 2:42-46)
Discipleship Groups (DGs) are a part of our missional community ministry and are designed to help you and others grow as disciples of Jesus. DGs are small groups (2-3 people), gender specific, and bible based that meet regularly for an intentional means of discipleship through reading and studying scripture, prayer, and confession and repentance.
